The Shed Melbourne — Terms of Enrolment

By enrolling in a class or course at The Shed Melbourne PTY LTD (“The Shed Melbourne”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Refunds

All tuition fees are strictly non-refundable. This includes full or partial refunds for classes or courses not attended for any reason.

2. Eligibility

All participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of enrolment.

3. Payment Terms

All tuition fees must be paid in full at time of booking. We do not allow part payments.

4. Attendance

If you miss four (4) or more sessions in an eight-week course, you will forfeit your place in the class without refund or credit. This policy is in place for your safety and the safety of other students, as missing multiple sessions may affect your ability to work safely in the workshop.

The Shed Melbourne does not offer catch-up sessions for missed classes. Any additional instruction is at the discretion of management and will incur extra fees.

5. Right of Refusal

The Shed Melbourne reserves the right to refuse entry or participation to any student who:

• Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs

• Poses a risk to themselves or others

• Fails to comply with workshop rules and directions

• Behaves in an abusive, threatening, or discriminatory manner toward tutors, staff, or other students

6. Tutor Authority

Tutors have the final say regarding the size, scope, and material limits of all projects undertaken in the workshop.

7. Materials

All students are responsible for purchasing and providing their own materials unless otherwise specified.

8. Damage to Equipment

Any student who damages or breaks machinery, tools, or equipment due to failure to follow tutor instructions will be fully liable for repair or replacement costs.

9. Project Outcomes

The Shed Melbourne provides guidance and instruction; however, it is not responsible for the final quality, completion, or outcome of any student project.

10. Safety and Liability

The Shed Melbourne is not liable for any injury caused by the misuse of tools, machinery, or equipment.

Failure to follow safety procedures and regulations will result in immediate removal from the course without refund.

Students must disclose any pre-existing injuries or medical conditions that may affect their participation. Failure to do so may result in removal from the class.

Students participate in classes at their own risk and agree to indemnify The Shed Melbourne and its staff from any claims or liabilities arising from participation.

11. Photography and Promotion

Students consent to The Shed Melbourne taking photographs or videos during classes, which may be used for promotional purposes online and offline. If you do not consent, please notify us in writing before your class begins.

12. Property and Storage

The Shed Melbourne is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to students’ personal property.

All projects must be collected from the workshop within eight (8) days of the final class unless a prior arrangement or private session has been booked.

Projects not collected within the specified timeframe will become the property of The Shed Melbourne and may be disposed of or repurposed at its discretion.

13. Force Majeure

The Shed Melbourne is not liable for delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to pandemics, lockdowns, or natural disasters. In such cases, we will work with students to reschedule where possible but do not guarantee refunds.
